 
HoneyWords is the creation of professional
journalist, writer, Tantric educator, and
ULC ordained minister
Barbara Elder.
Barbara has over 20 years
professional writing experience, working for
newspapers and magazines, and publishing
non-fiction, fiction, poetry, and personal
essays. She is happy to provide a variety of
writing samples during your initial meeting.
Through HoneyWords,
Barbara's love of writing and words combines
with her spiritual passion for loving
connections.
"I believe it is possible
to share love with everyone you meet,"
Barbara says. "But when you explore deeper,
more personal connections, the intensity and
power of that love increases exponentially."
As a journalist, Barbara's
specialty is interviewing -- talking with
others, making a connection, telling their
stories. When she conceived the idea for
HoneyWords, Barbara wanted to take her
interviewing experience and her ability to
understand and reach others, and connect
those skills with personal, tailor-made
wedding vows, commitment ceremony or civil
union vows.
"By 'interviewing' the
couple, individually and together, I am able
to really get a feel for who they are. I can
understand how they think, how they express
themselves, the way they feel about
themselves and each other," says Barbara.
"With this understanding, I'm able to write
words that not only describe a person's
feelings, but even sound like them --
words they themselves would use. Not my
words. Their words -- straight from the
heart."
"When we have deep,
powerful feelings, sometimes it's hard to
put those feelings into words. I love the
idea of really getting to know couples,
individually and together, and creating
words that express exactly what's in their
hearts, their souls," Barbara says.
"Everyone wants their special day to be
perfect. I want to help partners share their
feelings with each other, and their friends
and family, with confidence, love, and
wonderful honesty and joy."
